EAFPN CONFERENCE 2018 – ‘THE VOICE OF THE HORSE’
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to this website which is dedicated to the Equine Assisted and Facilitated Practitioner’s Network Conferences. Our first Conference, held in the UK in October 2015, concentrated on ‘Foundations for the Future’ and concentrated on many of the training models available to both existing practitioners and those interested in learning more and finding their own ‘niche’ within this industry.
Our second Conference will take place in the UK on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June 2018 and the focus and theme is ‘The Voice of the Horse’. Our debt of gratitude to the horses we work with and who give so much and so generously to us and to our clients cannot be over estimated or over emphasised. A primary driver for this Conference theme was the need to address and explore the care and consideration of our horses in our work but also the wider picture in terms of their behaviour and their communication. In addition to this there will be presentations which cover leadership work, trauma, research, equine nutrition and the role of the horses within all aspects of the work.
The venue is the wonderful Unicorn Educational Trust in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire. Click here for details: https://www.horse-events.co.uk/venues/the-unicorn-trust-equestrian-centre/
Tickets go on sale on 3rd February 2018 with Early Bird options and 10 dedicated ‘Volunteer’ tickets which will be massively reduced. Please only buy one of these if you are prepared to commit to helping with the running of the conference on both days. Click here to go to the Bookings page.
Names of our presenters will be listed here with their details and their Abstracts listed in due course and they will be added as I receive them.
Fridays events will run into a Friday night Hog Roast (Vegetarian and Vegan options will be catered for) whilst a Cocktail Bar will provide Cosmos. This will allow for more Networking and hopefully allows everyone to catch up with the people they want to catch up with rather than leaving the Conference and wishing they had had more time to do that. Soft drinks will be available but if anyone would like to bring their own alcoholic beverages that is absolutely fine!
